This Friday, the 23rd, the Ivone de Menezes Vieira Municipal Public Library, a unit of the Aracaju City Hall managed by the Fundação Cultural Cidade de Aracaju (Funcaju), is participating in the Accessible Books and Inclusive Readings Exhibition, which takes place at Riomar Shopping, until the 25th of September.
Throughout today, Ivone de Menezes carries out inclusive literary experiences with storytelling, reading circles, “me reader” chat, poetic recital and other interaction and experimentation activities. In addition, the space set up by the Sergipe Inclusive Reading Network also offers an exhibition of accessible books and assistive technologies, orientation and mobility, book exchange and donations, and displays typewriters in Braille.
According to the coordinator of the Ivone de Menezes Library, Verônica Cardoso, “one of the roles of the library as a training unit is to promote inclusion and access to education for all. Today, we are here with the aim of including and raising awareness of the entire population regarding the respect, care and inclusion of all people”.
The Exhibition of Accessible Books and Inclusive Readings is taking place at Espaço Bem Viver at Riomar Shopping, on the ground floor. The participation of the Municipal Library Ivone de Menezes takes place only this Friday, but the exhibition continues until September 25, from Monday to Saturday, from 10 am to 10 pm and on Sunday, from 2 pm to 8 pm.
