Arapongas hosts training for the Regional Dentistry Council

Last Thursday, the 25th, the Regional Dentistry Council (CRO) promoted a meeting with several professionals in the area, including representatives of the Municipal Health Department (Oral Health). The training was carried out at the Unopar Anhanguera Arapongas Campus, with the support of the 16th Health Region of Apucarana (RS). Also present were the municipal secretary of Health, Moacir Paludetto Jr, representatives of the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG), professor Dr. Ana Claúdia Chibinski and Dr. Cassia Dezan Garbelini, the president of the Regional Dentistry Council (CRO), Aguinaldo Coelho , director of Campus Unopar Anhanguera, Beatriz Ballan Silveira, as well as oral health technicians (TSB’s) from the public and private sector. The ministry’s secretary, Paludetto Jr, praised the event, reinforcing the commitment of municipal management in oral health. “Arapongas in the spotlight at the state level by CRO-PR. This strengthens attention to oral health, expanding knowledge and generating quality in the provision of services”, he pointed out. The opportunity had as its central theme “Current Updates in Minimally Invasive Dentistry”.

Arapongas has 29 Basic Health Units (UBS’s) and dental offices installed in 17 of them: Águias, Araponguinha, Araucaria, Aricanduva, Bandeirantes, CAIC, Centauro, Colúmbia, Del Condor, Guadalupe, Padre Chico, Palmares, Pombas, Primavera, San Raphael, Tropical and Ulisses Guimarães. In addition to these UBS’s, the municipality also offers night dental care in the three 6pm Emergency Rooms (Flamingos, Palmares and Petrópolis). DUTY – Through the Oral Health Department, the municipality also has a dental shift on weekends. On Saturdays and Sundays, services are concentrated at the Dental Specialties Center (CEO). Patient entry is made by the 24-hour Emergency Room “Alberto Esper Kallas”, Rua Bonito do Campo nº 40, corner of Rua Juriti. Services are held from 7am to 11am. It is worth remembering that these services are exclusively urgent and do not require an appointment.
