Last Friday (03), Mayor Rafael Greca went to check the production of the pieces. “Here is the future study of the Pegasus statue, which represents the power of the flight of imagination, which will be delivered at the end of the year. I want to end my tenure by taking to the skies on the wings of imagination”, highlighted Greca.

Once ready, the winged horse, a figure from Greek mythology, will be installed in Tanguá Park, as foreseen in the park’s original project, in the 1990s.

Another piece that the mayor inspected was that of the athlete Barcímio Sicupira (1944 – 2021), which will be inaugurated on Friday (10) at Praça Afonso Botelho, in front of the Ligga Arena, Arena da Baixada, the club of the Curitiba idol.

Just like Pegasus, the sculpture of the athletic star was also made by Sartori. The tribute recalls the celebration of one of the 158 goals that Sicupira scored with the Athletico shirt. The star played eight years at Furacão and remains the greatest scorer in Red and Black history.
