Horses of the London Household Cavalry overthrew riders and fled
Five people were injured in three different locations after horses from the London Household Cavalry escaped and ran loose through the center of the English capital. Among the injured is a soldier from the British Royal Guard.
According to The Telegraph, one of the horses crashed into cars in front of the Clermont Hotel, on Buckingham Palace Road. In total, five horses were seen loose in other areas of London, including Tower Bridge.
The riders riding the animals were thrown out of the saddle during their daily morning exercise.
Also according to the British newspaper, a soldier was heard “screaming in pain” after being thrown from his horse
“Our first paramedics arrived on scene in less than a minute. The incident remains ongoing and we are working with our emergency services partners,” said a spokesperson for the local health service.
City of London Police said two of the escaped horses had been contained.
According to the corporation, an Army stable would come to collect the animals and take them to the veterinarian.
