Du (José Duboc) is the real father of Teak (Lívia Silva) in Renascer. The boy tried to convince his girlfriend to have an abortion, but then changed his mind and disappeared. So much so that the girl herself believes he is dead, but that’s not even what happened.
In fact, Du was captured by the police during a confrontation, accused of several crimes. Teca couldn’t see what happened, but Pitoco (Juan Queiroz) said he was murdered.
With the young man’s disappearance, Teca was run over by Buba (Gabriela Medeiros) and went to live at the psychologist’s house. With no direction in life, she still thinks a lot about her great love.
Meanwhile, Pitoco and Neno (Gabriel Lima) try to find her. And they really succeed and start making constant visits. Together, the three realize that Du was killed by the police.
However, everything changes when Teca is taken to the farm. José Inocêncio (Marcos Palmeira). At this time, Du reappears and meets the boys again. He says he was arrested, but managed to escape.
From then on, the remake of Renascer can follow two paths: just like in 1993, Du dies during the soap opera during a killing of young people by the police. Teca only finds out about this during a TV report.
However, author Bruno Luperi’s big idea must be different: Du survives, meets the boys again and the three go to Bahia after Teca. Therefore, Du himself puts an end to the hoax invented by Buba that the father of Teca’s son is José Venâncio (Rodrigo Simas).
