Former Globo actor talks about abandoning his career in soap operas: “I’m tired”

Marcelo Sabackwhat is Known for several works on Globo and SBT, he has not worked as an actor for around 12 years – his last work was on the series The Brazilian (2012), and in soap operas, in A wedding veil for sale (2009), on SBT. Since then, the artist has established his profession as an author and director.

In an interview with the website Heloísa Tolipan, Saback assured that he is not planning to return to the profession any time soon, and explained why: “I think it’s unlikely that I’ll return as an actor, I’ve become a lazy actor. Working as an actor is no longer part of my plans. I spent years in musicals, doing several sessions a day and combining theater, cinema and television’”he said.

“I am tired”

The former Globo actor stated that he is open to possibilities, but it is not a priority, nor become the author of a novel. “They opened up a possibility for me to make a soap opera for the Latin market, but it ended up not happening. And soap operas, above all, are not something that I would agree with. I am tired”he vented.

Marcelo Sabackincluding, is the creator of The formulaGlobo series, shown in 2017and written in partnership with Mauro Wilson – author of the novel The More Life, the Better! (2021). Furthermore, He has other works as a collaborator on soap operas, series and programs of the House, beyond cinemas and streaming.
