José Inocêncio (Marcos Palmeira) will continue to be curious about the content of Marianinha’s (Gabriella Cristina) letter in Renascer. The farmer will harass Rachid (Almir Sater) to get the message, but the Lebanese will insist that he promised his wife that he would only deliver it to Maria Santa (Duda Santos) on Globo’s nine o’clock soap opera.
In this Wednesday’s chapter (24), the cocoa producer will take desperate measures to be able to read the letter. After all, he didn’t believe it when the peddler said he had burned the document.
José Inocêncio will then enlist the help of Norberto (Matheus Nachtergaele) and ask the merchant to steal the message that Marianinha left for Maria Santa in Rachid’s belongings.
In the serial, a flashback already showed the moment when the foreigner, played by Gabriel Sater in the first phase, found Marianinha on a road and decided to take her away with him. The peddler married the young woman, and they had five heirs — in addition to the girl’s firstborn, whose father’s identity is unknown.
Rachid explained that he returned to the village of Ilhéus to deliver a letter from his loved one to Santinha, but his plans went down the drain when he discovered that his relative had also died.
Who raped Marianinha?
In the 1993 version of the soap opera, Rachid (Luis Carlos Arutin) only delivered the letter to José Inocêncio (Antonio Fagundes) in the final stretch. The Lebanese promised to give the document to his friend if he survived an attack.
The two read Marianinha’s message together and burst into laughter at the content. “So much for that, friend,” said the protagonist. “As we could imagine it was a something like that. You thought that this letter There were so many things like that”, minimized the merchant.
Rachid tore up the paper soon after, and the farmer briefly commented on his sister-in-law’s secret. “If that bastard threw the poor thing into the bushes, but couldn’t do anything because he messed up, he wasn’t competent…”, stated Inocêncio, indicating that it was not Venâncio (Cacá Carvalho) who raped his own daughter.
The cocoa producer also stated that he suspected that Marianinha’s first child was Rachid’s. “No, not that one”, replied the peddler, who pointed out that the woman was already pregnant when he met him on the road.
“So that other son of hers was her father’s ox”, speculated the protagonist. “She never talks about this secret”, concluded the foreigner, ending the subject.
Before this revelation, however, Teca (Palomma Duarte) had already stated during a premonition that Belarmino (José Wilker) was the real father of Marianinha’s baby.
Renascer was written and created by author Benedito Ruy Barbosa. The first version aired on Globo in 1993. Bruno Luperi is the novelist’s grandson and responsible for adapting the rural saga that premiered in prime time in January. The remake should be replaced by a new plot by João Emanuel Carneiro in September.
