JBL announced, this Monday (6), the launch in Brazil of its sunglasses with headphones, the Soundgear Frames. The product works with a technology called OpenSound so that the user can listen to music without having to cover their ears or insert headphones into the ear canal. It guarantees IP54 water splash resistance and has a battery that can last up to eight hours of content playback. The launch price is R$799.

Soundgear Frames were announced worldwide in January, during CES 2024. At the fair, the accessory received an innovation award. The wearable competes, in a way, with alternatives such as Ray-Ban Meta, a wearable developed by the owner of Facebook with the eyewear brand. The difference is that Soundgear Frames were designed as an audio product, bringing JBL’s sound technology to the product. The accessory does not have a camera or display screen.
