NetherRealm Studios seems committed to keeping Mortal Kombat 1 full of new features. The fighting game is about to welcome another character to the cast: Mavado has had its release date announced. The fighter will make his debut as a “kameo” in May 7th.

The Red Dragon has infiltrated this timeline. On May 7th, Mavado will strike as the new addition to the roster of Partnership Fighters in MK 1.
Mavado can be obtained for free by anyone who has already purchased Mortal Kombat 1’s Kombat Pack 1. It will probably also be available via separate DLC — as is already the case with other kameos (Khameleon, Tremor and Janet Cage) on the PS Store, which cost R $24.90 each.
On another occasion, NetherRealm showed Mavado gameplay, alongside Ermac. In his fatality, he uses his hooks to stretch and throw himself at the opponent, splitting them in two.

Announced in July last year, Homelander, from The Boys, will finally join the cast of Mortal Kombat 1. The exact date has not yet been revealed, but it shouldn’t take long, considering that legendary producer Ed Boon, strongman of the franchise, published a teaser of the character on his profile on the social network X.
