Several leaks about the Edge 50 Pro have emerged in recent days, including possible prices, which should be the brand’s new top of the line here in Brazil, and has even been approved by Anatel.
The Motorola India website posted a banner, inviting you to watch the live broadcast tomorrow, at noon (from there) of the launch of the Edge 50 Pro. With it, other models should also arrive, leaks have already emerged of the Edge 50 Ultra and also the Edge 50 Fusion.
It’s in Brazil?
Apparently, these new Edges will be launched worldwide, I don’t have specific information about the launch territory yet, but I believe they should also arrive in Brazil and better yet, it shouldn’t take long.
About Edge 50 Pro
The Edge 50 Pro should arrive in three colors: purple, black and a gray option with white and gray details. The back design of the purple and black versions will be uniform, while the gray one will feature texture.
As for the cameras, the Edge 50 Pro is configured with a triple set at the rear: a 50 MP main camera with f/1.4 aperture, an ultrawide lens and a telephoto lens with 6x optical zoom, a considerable upgrade over the zoom of just 2x of the previous model.
At the front, the device maintains the curved screen and includes a centralized hole for the front camera. The screen should be 6.7 inches with a refresh rate of 165Hz, maintaining the specifications of the last model.
Under the hood, the Edge 50 Pro there were some rumors that pointed to the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, but Motorola India’s Instagram profile showed an image with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3.
It is accompanied by 12GB of RAM. The battery is 4,500 mAh, supporting 125W wired and 50W wireless fast charging.
When will it be launched?
They should be released worldwide tomorrow, April 3, 2024.
The last powerful Edge that arrived in Brazil was the 30 Ultra and 30 Pro. Since then, Motorola has not brought the 40 version, leaving the Edge 40 and Edge 40 Neo to be the brand’s best high-end options.
The Edge 30 Ultra for us was the best Motorola of 2022, a very successful smartphone, but which stopped being sold by Motorola a few weeks ago.
