The team at Santos resumed training this Wednesday (8), aiming for the confrontation against Amazonas in the fourth round of the Serie B of the Brazilian Championship. The match is scheduled for next Saturday (11), at 5pm, at Arena da Amazônia.

After a day of regenerative work last Tuesday (7), the players who started the game against Guarani they went to the CT Rei Pelé lawn just this morning.

Under the command of Fábio Carille, the players participated in intense and busy tactical training on a small field, as is usual in Peixe’s day-to-day work. The work also focused on set pieces, which have been one of the Santos team’s strong points in 2024, both defensively and offensively.

For the next game, as coach Fábio Carille himself had already said, he will not be able to count on strikers Julio Furch and Pedrinho, both being treated for pubalgia. In addition to them, right-back Aderlan remains in the transition phase, awaiting complete healing from surgery on his right hand.

The news comes from Serginho, the recently announced midfielder, who will be selected for the trip to Manaus and could make his debut for the club. Striker Weslley Patati, absent from the bench against Guarani, will also be on the squad list.

Probable lineup: João Paulo; JP Chermont, Joaquim, Gil and Escobar; João Schmidt, Diego Pituca and Giuliano; Otero, Guilherme and Alfredo Morelos.
