RBR F1 boss Christian Horner responded to Mercedes’ Toto Wolff about the mass departure of workers from the Austrian team with a ‘nudge’

Christian Hornerleader of Red Bull Racing (RBR) at F1provoked Toto Wolffhead of Mercedes. The Silver Arrows representative had mentioned the massive departure of employees from the Austrian team on leave, something also mentioned by Zach Brownfrom the McLaren. In response, the Briton did not spare his professional colleagues.

“I don’t know how many people we or RB have signed from McLaren this year. From Mercedes, we took 220 people from the HPP (high performance engines) division to RB Powertrains. So when we’re talking about losing people, I’d be a little more worried about those 220 than maybe one or two resumes.”said Horner.

The topic was fed with the request for exemption from Adrian Newey, who said he wanted a new path for his career. In view of what happened, the head of RBR had to go public and announce that the engineer’s departure had nothing to do with the team’s internal climate.

“I think it’s inevitable. The two candidates (to receive Newey) talk a lot. But I’m not going to get involved in a fight. I would focus more on the problems Toto has.”, justified Horner. Formula 1 will only return next weekend, with the Emilia-Romagna GP.
