The FIA needs to find a new CEO. Natalie Robyn decided to resign and seek new challenges, generating yet another casualty for the motorsport regulatory body. Other important figures had already left the FIA in recent months.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the FIA said: ‘Robyn led a comprehensive review of the federation’s operational structure, playing a key role in modernizing the FIA, improving governance and ensuring sustainable financial stability.’
Robyn herself also commented briefly on her departure: “It has been a huge privilege and I am grateful to have led a program of restructuring and reform. Now is the time to step aside, knowing that the organization is best positioned for the challenges that lie ahead.” Robyn has served as CEO of the FIA since the end of 2022 and will step down at the end of May.
Mohammed Ben Sulayem, president of the FIA, thanked the CEO for her services: “Natalie’s appointment was remarkable, as she was the first CEO in the history of the FIA. It contributed greatly to a broad reorganization of our operational and management structure, as well as to our financial sustainability”, said the director.
In addition to Robyn, technical director Tim Goss and sporting director Steve Nielson also recently left the FIA.
