This is one of the reasons that encourage North American Liberty Media, holder of F1’s commercial rights, to look for alternatives to have more GPs in the country, as part of a project to alternate races in Europe. For 2025, the calendar remains unchanged, with the same 24 races as in 2024, three in the USA and a total of six on the American continent. However, a new contract will be signed between Liberty, FIA and teams for 2026 and there is an attempt to increase the limit of events, which is currently 24.

In the USA, F1 has even patented the name of the Chicago GP, excited by the numbers that continue to increase. The Austin races continue to comfortably attract more than 400,000 spectators per year, becoming among the most crowded on the calendar. The debut of Las Vegas last year also resulted in very positive numbers: the economic impact was calculated at 1.5 billion dollars (equivalent to 7.6 billion reais), with tourists spending 3.6 times more than normal for the city, and 52 million of dollars being injected into salaries in the local economy.

From Miami, more good news arrived after Norris’ victory. The race broke the historic audience record for F1 in the USA, which was due to the debut of the Florida stage, in 2022. An average of 3.1 million viewers watched the GP, with a peak audience of 3.6 million. The previous record was 2.6 million average and 2.9 million peak.
