Vasco will finally have a new master sponsor. More than 100 days after PixBet left the prime space on the Giant’s shirt, the club will announce, on Friday (9), an agreement with Betfair. The initial information, given by the Papo Na Colina portal and journalist Carlos Berbert, was confirmed by Throw!

Agreement details
The new contract, according to information obtained by ‘GE’, will be signed for a year and a half, with a total value of R$115 million, and will be valid until December 2025. With this agreement, Vasco will receive R$70 million per year, exceeding the São Paulo and Fluminense agreements. This figure places Vasco as the fourth largest sponsor in Brazil, behind only Corinthians, Flamengo and Palmeiras.
Still without a commercial director, negotiations with the master sponsor were carried out by 777 executives together with members of Vasco’s SAF.
Vasco returns to the field next Sunday to face Vitória, in São Januário, in the sixth round of the Brasileirão.
A new era at Vasco
With the new sponsorship, Vasco returns to the spotlight and ranks second in fourth place among those who raise the most money. Regarding the agreement with Betfair itself, the numbers are much higher than those guaranteed by Cruzeiro, for example.
For Raposa, the company pays around R$25 million per year. Previously, Cruz-Maltino received R$20 million from PixBet. The values of the new sponsorship are the highest in Vasco da Gama’s history.

A new engine on the rise in Brazilian football, betting houses seem to be here to stay. In addition to the Naming Rights of competitions, such as the Brasileirão Betano, the houses sponsor 14 of the 20 teams in Série A. Only Cuiabá, the duo Gre-Nal, Palmeiras and RB Bragantino are not sponsored by one of the houses. Among these, the highest value is that of Crefisa, with R$81 million annually, but for all spaces on the shirt and not just the master.
