Surfer Pedro Scooby gathered some friends and traveled to Rio Grande do Sul to help rescue victims of the floods that are ravaging the state. This Tuesday (7/5), the athlete flew over the municipality of Eldorado do Sul with the Fire Department and was impressed by the scenery.

Scooby and his companions headed to the south of the country with jet skis and specialized water rescue equipment. They have used the devices to rescue stranded people. This Wednesday, the surfer flew over Eldorado do Sul to locate possible areas not yet accessed.

“Terrible, tragic. I just paid a visit with the Fire Department by helicopter to, suddenly, see some point that we weren’t seeing by jet-ski. Total tragedy”, said Scooby in an interview with RBS TV.

On Instagram, the athlete published a video in Eldorado do Sul and wrote: “It looked like a movie scene”.

Iankel Noronha, Lucas Chumbo, Michelle Bouillons, Ian Cosenza, Fabiano Tissot, Danillo Simplicio, Will Santana and Felipe Cesarano are the surfers who provide support to the Gauchos. Reyzinho Duarte, MMA fighter and jet ski pilot, is also part of the group.
