Rafael Vieira is no longer manager of the Coritiba Sports Intelligence and Analysis Center. The professional resigned from the position he held since July 2023 and is on his way to Cruzeiro, where he will start working in the next few days.

Guto Ferreira is no longer Coritiba’s coach, who will take his place?

With the creation of the Sports Intelligence and Analysis Center last year, Rafael Vieira was hired by SAF Coritiba, which at that time was following the restructuring process in the football department.

Since then, Vieira started to coordinate the performance analysis, prospecting and market sectors. These areas are directly connected to the work of analyzing the team and the opponent, as well as the search for reinforcements.

Rafael Vieira has a degree in physical education and has an A license from the CBF. He is one of the pioneers of performance analysis in Brazil. The professional was coach Mano Menezes’ right-hand man for several years and even worked for the Brazilian national team.

Before arriving at Coxa, Vieira had spells at Flamengo, Atlético-MG, Al-Nassr and Athletico. The last work, before Coritiba, had been on Cerro Porteño, in Paraguay. Coxa did not disclose which professional will occupy the position of CIAD manager.
