Globo narrator is criticized for ‘gossip’ about Cuca and Hugo Moura < No Attack

Narrator Gustavo Villani, from TV Globo, received criticism for telling “gossip” during the broadcast of the game between Athletico-PR and Vasco this Sunday (5/5). At Ligga Arena, Furacão won 1-0, in the fifth round of the Brazilian Championship.

The match was marked by the expulsion of defensive midfielder Hugo Moura in the 16th minute of the first half. Interestingly, the player is on loan to Vasco precisely through Athletico-PR.

Just ten minutes later, the home team took advantage of the numerical advantage and scored the winning goal with midfielder Erick, in the 26th minute.

The controversial comment occurred when the broadcast timer showed 29 minutes of the initial stage. Villani recalled that Hugo Moura is engaged to one of coach Cuca’s daughters, who runs Athletico-PR.

“I have a ‘ti-ti-ti’ here, I don’t know if I’ll share it with you… Do you like a ‘bafafá’?” asked Villani, promptly answered by commentator Roger Flores, in a humorous tone.

“Oops! Gossip!?” said Roger.

“I don’t know if… Maestro (speaking to commentator Júnior), Hugo, who was expelled, Vasco player, is engaged to Cuca’s daughter! Is it good for you? This is going to cause confusion!” exclaimed Villani.

The commentators, who are former players, quickly reprimanded the narrator. “No, not there,” said Roger. “But you can’t count (that). He made a mistake,” said Júnior.

Villani then agreed: “One thing is one thing, another thing is another thing. I’m just counting the ‘ti-ti-ti’.”

Criticism of Villani
