Member of CPI for Manipulation of Games and Sports Betting, Carlos Portinho (PL-RJ) wants the CBF inform the list of referees for each game of the Brazilian championship 2023 and the statistics on referee/VAR who performed the most together in the competition. In a request, the Rio de Janeiro parliamentarian asks Ednaldo Rodrigues, president of the CBF, to provide data on the results of each game in which the three pairs of arbitration more repeated. “By asking the CBF for details on the criteria adopted for the selection and administration of referees, the Senate not only reinforces its commitment to transparency and responsibility, but also aims to ensure the fairness of practices that directly influence millions of fans and the advancement itself of football in the country”, explains Portinho.
