Andretti begins recruitment process

Andretti Global remains determined to enter Formula 1, even after the FOM’s initial refusal, along with the other teams. Despite having its application rejected in January, the American team has opened vacancies for 60 new employees at its new headquarters recently opened in Silverstone.

Andretti’s goal continues to be to enter the category in 2026. The open positions on the team are for senior F1 positions, including head of aerodynamic development, head of mechanical design and other technical positions.

Mario Andretti, father of team owner Michael Andretti, recently told the Associated Press that only one meeting took place between Andretti and the Formula 1 Group. “We only had one meeting with FOM, and that’s the problem. We don’t talk enough. So I look forward to our next meeting. Let’s sit down and talk.”

Andretti’s initiative demonstrates the team’s seriousness regarding its possible entry into F1. With the structure being set up and the search for qualified professionals, Andretti is putting pressure on the category to reevaluate its membership application.
