During the interview in which the tennis player spoke about her imminent retirement, she was surprised by a video of Spaniard Rafael Nadal.
“No, this is not true! It’s not possible! I can’t press play!” reacted Cornet, who has never hidden being a fan of Nadal, upon receiving a tablet with a video of the Spaniard praising the 34-year-old Frenchwoman for her career.
“I just want to congratulate you on an incredible career. I want to wish you all the best and whatever you decide to do in the future, maybe you are doing great. Enjoy your day, all the best for your future and congratulations!”, said Nadal.
Cornet did not hide his emotion with the message. “I’m shaking and everything. I think I dared to talk to him once in my life, because of all the admiration I have for him. Wow, I’m in shock. Can you send me the video please?
