A different scene took place in the final minutes of the Bahia’s victory against Grêmio at Arena Fonte Nova. Coach of the visiting team, Renato Gaucho left the match before the end, along with his bench.
In the 46th minute of the second half, Diego Costa, already substituted, was sent off after an argument with the fourth referee on the edge of the field.
Renato, then, was outraged by Bráulio da Silva Machado’s decision and started the movement to remove all his players and members of the technical committee who were on the bench and go to the locker room.
At one point, the coach even pointed to the field and made the ‘finished’ sign with his hands.
The match ended with Esquadrão de Aço winning 1-0 thanks to a great goal from Everaldo in the first half.
