Tite asks and Flamengo wants to sign a Liverpool striker

-

Flamengo is already eyeing the next transfer window, which opens in July, and one name that has aroused interest is that of striker Luciano Rodríguez, who currently plays for Uruguay’s Liverpool. According to information from Uruguayan journalist Matias Torres, the Rio club is closely monitoring the player’s performance.

Luciano Rodríguez, according to the TransferMarkt portal, has an estimated market value of 4.5 million euros, equivalent to around R$24 million. This assessment serves as a parameter for Flamengo’s possible investment, which recently disbursed R$3.5 million to sign center forward Carlinhos, from Nova Iguaçu.

Coach Tite expressed his desire to have a player to alternate with Luiz Araújo in the position on the right side, and Luciano Rodríguez fits that profile. In addition to Flamengo, Palmeiras and Vasco are also monitoring the Uruguayan player, which could generate competition in negotiations.

In an interview, Flamengo’s football vice-president, Marcos Braz, stated that the club’s next signings will take place during the mid-year transfer window in Europe. He highlighted recent signings, such as Léo Ortiz, De La Cruz, Viña and Carlinhos, and indicated that new reinforcements will be expected for this period.

The signings that Flamengo made most forcefully were those of Léo Ortiz, De La Cruz, Viña and Carlinhos. Now the next hires will only be in the middle of the year — said Braz.

When will Flamengo’s next game be?

In April, Flamengo will face a schedule full of challenges, competing in three different tournaments. Under the command of coach Tite, the team will play matches in the Campeonato Carioca, Copa Libertadores and Campeonato Brasileiro. Check out Flamengo’s schedule for the month of April below:
