On goalkeepers’ night, Botafogo and Fluminense draw goalless in the Brazilian Under-20 Championship

In a game marked by great performances from the goalkeepers, the Botafogo tied with Fluminense in 0 to 0 on Thursday night (25/4), at the Nilton Santos Stadium, for the fourth round of the Brazilian Under-20 Championship 2024.

The classic had no goals, but it was very well played. In the first half, black and white goalkeeper Cristiano made two great saves, from shots by João Lourenço and Agner. Botafogo also arrived in danger, but Kauê Leonardo and Fabiano stopped the Tricolor goalkeeper.

In the second half, Botafogo was superior and almost opened the scoring with Vargas, with a header, but goalkeeper Diego saved it, in the 12th minute. And black and white archer Cristiano also had to work, making a great save on Isac’s shot almost inside the small area.

With the result, Botafogo was in 11th place, with five points, while Fluminense is 16th, with four. Glorioso returns to play in the Brazilian Under-20 Championship next Wednesday (1/5), against Cuiabá, at 4pm, at CT Manoel Dresch, in Cuiabá.
