The search for an executive director is over. After the dismissal of Alexandre Mattos, Pedro Martins is Vasco’s new football man. He will leave Cruzeiro, where he has been since January 2022. The signing of the contract has not yet taken place, but the announcement is close.

Vasco fired Alexandre Mattos on March 21, a little over a month ago. Pedro Martins arrives to be the new executive director of SAF, a position that was already held by Mattos and Paulo Bracks.
Pedro Martins also replaced Alexandre Mattos at Cruzeiro, at the beginning of the SAF Era with Ronaldo Fenômeno. The director is 36 years old. 777 Partners observed his work and saw that with “much less money”, the teams competed in the same bracket of the table.
Graduated in administration and with an MBA from the University of Liverpool, England, Pedro Martins worked as football director at Ferroviária, in 2017, 2018 and 2020, was Manager of the Information Department at Athletico-PR, between 2013 and 2017, and was deputy -president of the São Paulo Football Federation.
