Well then. Xavi met this Wednesday with former player Deco, current football director at Barcelona, at the Joan Gamper Training Center. After that, they went to meet the club president, Joan Laporta, at his home. Vice-president Rafa Yuste was also at the scene.
According to different newspapers in Spain, such as “Marca”, “Mundo Deportivo” and “Sport”, the coach accepted the conditions presented by Barcelona. Local press says President Laporta is expected to make a public statement on the matter on Thursday.
Xavi Hernández became the coach of Barcelona’s first team in November 2021. Since then, there have been 137 games, with 85 wins, 24 draws and 28 losses — 67.8% success rate. With him at the helm, Barça won a La Liga title and an edition of the Spanish Super Cup.
