Palmeiras defends the leadership of Group F after two rounds, as it has the same four points as its rival this Wednesday – Independiente del Valle – Verdão, with four points, has an advantage in goals scored.

The team, therefore, is looking for its first victory as a visitor in this edition of the tournament to gain an advantage in the fight for the team’s first objective: to be leader of the group.

Verdão arrives in Quito after a goalless draw with Flamengo in the Brazilian Championship – a tournament in which they have a win, a draw and a defeat so far -, while Del Valle is coming off a victory over Mushuc Runa in the Ecuadorian national championship. The team is undefeated in 2024.

In the Libertadores, Palmeiras drew with San Lorenzo in Buenos Aires and beat Liverpool-URU in São Paulo. Del Valle drew with Liverpool in Uruguay and beat San Lorenzo in Quito.

Independiente del Valle must use the best they have at their disposal, after using an alternative team against Mushuc Runa, in the last round of the Ecuadorian championship.
