A week after the 27-27 draw in the round of 16 of the handball Champions League, Montpellier and HC Zagreb faced each other again to define the classification. The game

Although the final score ended with a comfortable advantage for the French team, the first half began with HC Zagreb dominating. With the Croatian team leading the first few minutes, it was up to Bryan Monte to start Montpellier’s reaction. Thus, in the 15th minute, the Brazilian broke through the opposing defense and finished with his back to goal, scoring a great goal to put the home team in front of the scoreboard for the first time in the match.

If the first half maintained the balance seen in the first game, the second half proved to be different. Thus, the final score ended at 29 to 23, with emphasis on Slovenian Stas Skube who scored 6 goals. Bryan Monte didn’t have a very bright match, but he scored 2 goals in the match.
