Lawyer and columnist for UOLAndrei Kampff explained in At first that John Textor, owner of SAF do Botafogo, could even be banned from football if he does not present evidence of the accusations of match-fixing and corruption in the Brasileirão that he has made.

If he does not provide evidence, and he has already been reported for this, because he did not provide it in the first place, he can be suspended from football for 360 days, which is what the STJD states in article 223 — failing to comply with an order from the Sports Court. If he is a repeat offender, he will be banned from football. So, Textor, if he repeats not presenting evidence, Textor could be banned from football, there is a way within the sport’s private regulations for this. This new complaint he makes will fall under article 243-F, which is disrespecting arbitration, and then he could be suspended for up to 90 days. Or article 258, which violates sporting ethics, which must also be announced in this type of behavior, which gives a punishment of up to 180 days.

Kampff detailed that Textor could be severely punished in both sporting and criminal terms. Palmeiras and São Paulo, which were mentioned in Textor’s accusations, for example, are already active in both spheres (read here and here, respectively).
