Brazilian Bodyboarding Master, Praia da Taiba, São Gonçalo do Amarante (CE)

The first stage of the Brazilian Master of Bodyboarding 2024 took place last weekend at Praia da Taíba, São Gonçalo do Amarante (CE). According to the organization, the peak became the capital of bodyboarding and was a historic milestone for the sport in country and the world. The event brought together athletes from 14 states and 4 regions.

In the main category, Master, Ceará’s Luiz Sérgio masterfully dominated the heats, becoming champion with an impeccable performance in the final. Dadá Oliveira, from São Paulo, in turn, shone among the women, overcoming Méia Cleto in a fierce dispute. Emotion took over the podium, with the champions extolling the importance of the Master circuit and the opportunity to compete at a high level.

Other categories also provided memorable moments. In the Grand Master, Tibúrcio Neto confirmed his favoritism, while Gustavo Tavares led the Legends ranking. Among the Female Legends, Tina Falcão put on a show of determination and talent. In Grand Legends, Leander Cunha staged a thrilling comeback in the final seconds, beating Alberto Colares. Guy Robert dominated DropKnee, and Fábio Rigueira stood out in PCD.

“The atmosphere of friendship and unity among the participants was contagious. Parents surfing with their children, entire families cheering on the sand, tears of joy and overcoming, all of this contributed to a magical and unforgettable environment”, says the organization.
