fans of Junior Barranquillaopponent of Botafogo at Libertadores-2024 next Wednesday (3/4), they fought with street vendors and traders in Copacabana beach last Monday night, shortly after the team’s players had carried out a light activity on the sands.

Videos circulating on social media show Junior fans, apparently drunk, as held bottles of high-alcohol drinksclashing close to the Hotel Windsor Atlânticowhere the club’s delegation is concentrated.

According to reports, Colombian fans tried to steal items from street vendors, who reacted. They also got into trouble with vendors at kiosks on the beach (see below). Brazilian authorities investigate the case.

According to the Colombian newspaper “El Heraldo”some fans reported having traveled for around two weeks from Barranquilla, even hitching rides on tractors, trucks and other means of transport.
