O Inter president Alessandro Barcellosadmitted the feeling of disappointment and frustration with yet another Colorado elimination within the Beira-Rio stadium in the Gauchão semi-final. “It’s a mixed feeling of indignation and shame. The work is being done and it doesn’t justify us being out of the finals today,” said the president.
Barcellos guaranteed that the demands will be even stronger inside the locker room. “There’s nothing missing in the locker room, they know that,” he said. “We can’t keep passing by. The investment that Inter is making means we need to reflect every gesture, every detail”, he added.
Aware that fans are “rightly outraged”, the president appealed to Colorado fans to trust in what is being done this season. “We have the capacity to turn this painful elimination around.”
Barcellos also rejected any possibility of changing the coaching staff. “Everyone will be charged. Football department, players, management, but we are convinced that with this group and this technical committee we will bring joy to the fans.”
