The businessman saw an appeal published on social media by the model Gisele Bundchenwho is from Rio Grande do Sul, and announced that he would donate a thousand units of equipment.

The internet service provided by the priors is expected to operate for as long as the state of calamity in the state lasts. “Rio Grande do Sul, through the Secretariat of Planning, Governance and Management (SPGG), will receive a thousand satellite internet antennas from Starlink, including unlimited internet service, for the duration of the calamity. One hundred units will be delivered next weekend, to help reestablish communication in actions by Civil Defense, public security forces, health and critical public services”, says the note released by Defense.

Musk’s donation was announced by himself on his social networks. “I wish the best for Brazilians,” said the multimillionaire. The governor of Rio Grande do Sul, Eduardo Leite (PSDB), thanked the gesture, saying that the antennas with unlimited internet will be “extremely useful in this period of reconstruction of our state”.
