Porto Alegre records rain and wind again

Porto Alegre recorded rain and wind again this Wednesday afternoon (8). Images from a camera on the tower RBSTVin Morro Santa Tereza, show part of the Guaíba Rim flooded. Watch the video above.

The images show, at the top, the Orla do Guaíba in the Usina do Gasologista region. In the center of the screen, the Parque Marinha do Brasil, which has flooded areas. In the bottom left corner, you can see Internacional’s Gigantinho gym, located next to the Beira-Rio stadium.

The Globocop helicopter, from TV Globo, flew over the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre. The images show postcards, such as the Laçador Statue, flooded.

One of the flooding points is Largo dos Açorianos, with the Stone Bridge and the Administrative Center building, with its curved side. The Grêmio Arena and streets in the city of Canoas are also flooded.

There are 230.4 thousand people away from home. Of this total, there are 66.7 thousand in shelters It is 163.7 thousand homeless (people who are staying with family or friends). RS has 417 of its 497 municipalities with some report of problems related to the stormwith 1.4 million people affected.
