Exams confirm injury to Matheuzinho, Corinthians right-back

This Wednesday (8), Corinthians updated the physical situation of right-back Matheuzinho. The player, responsible for the second black goal against Nacional, from Paraguay, left the field with pain in the ankle region.

Matheuzinho underwent tests this Wednesday morning (8) and was found to have a sprain in his right ankle. The athlete has already started rehabilitation with the club’s medical department, with no deadline yet set for returning to activities.

Hired by Timão in January, the player will be absent from the black and white team in the duel against his former club. This Saturday (11), Corinthians will go to Rio de Janeiro to face Flamengo, in a game valid for the sixth round of the Brazilian Championship.

Originally right-back, Matheuzinho has been given space at Corinthians playing further forward, as a right winger. The goal scored by the player against Nacional came from an overtake on the left side of the attack.
