Madonna makes millionaire donation to help victims in Rio Grande do Sul, says columnist

After a historic visit to Brazil, Madonna not only left her mark on stage, but decided to help the victims of floods and landslides in Rio Grande do Sul. The Queen of Pop would have made a million dollar donation to the state, affected by heavy storms and flooding.

The remaining R$40 million came from a bank and a beverage brand, the event’s official sponsors. It is estimated that the financial return for Rio de Janeiro has reached the mark of R$300 million.

Madonna posts thanks to Brazil
