A gas station, located on Avenida Cairú, in Porto Alegre, exploded early this Saturday afternoon. Two people were injured, one of whom was taken to Cristo Redentor Hospital and the other to the Emergency Hospital.
The explosion was believed to be related to a generator. Employees from CEEE Equatorial were on site to turn off the electricity to the station and the region so that the Fire Department can check whether there are any more victims in the incident.
The establishment, called Orel, is located in the São João neighborhood, on the corner of Cairú and Benjamin Constant avenues, in an area flooded by floods. The BM isolated the region.
