A new date for the exam has not yet been set. According to the Minister of Management and Innovation in Public Services, Esther Dweck, the definition of a new date depends on weather conditions. This Friday, according to her, would be the “deadline” date for cancellation, as the federal government estimated that the majority of registrants would begin traveling to the test sites on Saturday (4).

The rains that have already left at least 37 dead, as well as missing, homeless, damage and flooded cities in the state of Rio Grande do Sul meant that the decision was taken this Friday (3).

On Thursday (2), a note released by the Ministry of Management informed that the test was held for Sunday, including in Rio Grande do Sul. However, internal discussions sought to find a way out that would not harm candidates from cities in Rio Grande do Sul.

According to the Minister of the Communication Secretariat, Paulo Pimenta, there were 86 thousand registered to hold the Unified National Competition in Rio Grande do Sul in ten cities in the State. Across Brazil, there were more than 2 million registrants.
