Pastor from BH claims to have already kissed his own daughter on the mouth during worship

A video showing the pastor saying that he kissed his own daughter on the mouth went viral on social media on Thursday night (2).

“I picked up my daughter one day, I kissed her, I told her I loved her. She was walking by and I said: Wow, what a woman. Oh, I’ll catch you. One day she got distracted and I kissed her on the mouth. And I said like this: When I meet your boyfriend I will say: You are the second, I have already kissed”, said the pastor during the service.

During a service on the night of April 15th this yearaimed at men with the theme “paternity“, Lucinho stated that his daughter is a “woman” (see video above). At the event, Lucinho was accompanied by his son Davi Barreto, who is also a pastor.

The pastor is one of the religious leaders of the Lagoinha Baptist Church, in Belo Horizonte.

The pastor recorded a video inside the bathroom of an airplane and published it on social media this Friday morning (3), after the great repercussion.

He stated that he gave an “innocent and pure” kiss, with the aim of boosting his daughter’s self-esteem.

“It was nothing more than that, I hate everything that has to do with pedophilia and child abuse”, said the pastor on social media.

On his personal website, the pastor presents himself as having a bachelor’s degree in Ministerial Theology from the Evangelical Theological Seminary of Brazil (STEB), and a master’s degree in Theology from the Faculdade Teológica Sul Americana (FTSA), in Londrina/PR.

On social media, the pastor’s daughter, Emily Barreto, claims that the video was taken out of context, but does not explain under what circumstances the speech would be acceptable.

“My father never did anything to me, absolutely nothing, he always gave me a good example of a father figure. Nothing ever happened. They took the speech out of context”, he stated.

g1 contacted the Public Ministry of Minas Gerais to find out if the pastor’s statements will be investigated. The report also questioned the Lagoinha Baptist Church, and is awaiting feedback.
