For publicity (and a reminder, in case anyone still doesn’t remember), a giant panel was set up with the visual identity of the Madonna show at the entrance to the Engenheiro Coelho Cintrafaz Tunnel, which gives access to Copacabana, connecting avenues Lauro Sodré, in Botafogo, and Princesa Isabel, in the neighboring neighborhood. On social media, the magnitude of the announcement surprised the singer’s fans. “Very shocked by this. They covered the entrance to the tunnel in Rio”, wrote a young man, who recorded it and shared it on the web. “Is it possible to stop, get out of the car and take a photo?”, another fan was excited.
The singer’s show takes place on Saturday, May 4th, and is scheduled to start between 9:30 pm and 9:45 pm. The stage will be in front of the Copacabana Palace hotel, on Copacabana beach, as happens on New Year’s Eve, towards Leme, and will mark the end of the singer’s world tour.
The event organizers have not yet announced when the artist will arrive in Brazil and, for security reasons, have not announced where she will be staying. But one piece of information has already been confirmed: the singer will leave the day after the show, on May 5th.
