Well, eight years later, it seems that Anthrax’s youngest son is close to seeing the light of day, as shown in an interview that Scott Ian gave to Dave Ling, one of the founders of Classic Rock magazine.

“There are still four songs left for Joey [Belladonna] sing, and Jon [Donais] He’s still working on the guitar solos. Then we have to get together in a room and learn how to play them,” said Ian, who gave more details about the next record from the band he founded in the early 80s.

“We still don’t have a [prazo de lançamento]but of course it would be great if it came out before the tour starts, but I can’t promise that it will happen.”

The tour mentioned by Ian will take place between November and December this year, in different countries in Europe. The tour will feature Kreator and Testament.

Finally, Scott stated that Anthrax’s new album is the group’s most aggressive work in more than 30 years.

“It’s safe to say it’s a metal album [risos]. It’s the most aggressive we’ve done, perhaps, since ‘Persistence Of Time'”, said Scott, referring to Anthrax’s fifth album, released in 1990.

The current lineup of Anthrax, which has been together for a decade, features Joey Belladonna (vocals), Scott Ian (guitar), Jonathan Donais (guitar), Frank Bello (bass) and Charlie Benante (drums).
