Joe Alwyn was reportedly “slightly disappointed” with Taylor Swift’s new album, “The Tortured Poets Department”. This Thursday (25), sources revealed to the Daily Mail that the actor will not speak publicly about his ex-girlfriend’s compositions, and that he was already aware that he could appear on some tracks. The star, who stars in the new “Kinds of Kindness“, would also have prohibited any questions involving the voice of “Fortnight” in his upcoming interviews.

Since “TTPD” became available on digital platforms, Taylor’s fans have already speculated that it would have compositions about Alwyn’s breakup. The two were in a six-year relationship, between 2017 and 2023. According to information from Page Six, the blonde would, in fact, have done this in four of them: “So Long, London”, “Loml”, “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” and “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived”.

“There was no contact between them”started the source. “She didn’t show him the songs beforehand, and he didn’t even expect her to do that.”, he added. The contact also revealed how Joe would have reacted to Swift’s most recent work. “Joe listened to the album and is a little disappointed, but not at all surprised.”he stated.

The witness then explained that the star was more than aware of Taylor’s songwriting process, due to the songs they created together on the albums “Folklore” and “Evermore”, under the pseudonym William Bowery. “Taylor draws on her relationships in almost all of her songs. He admires her talent.”he highlighted.

The source also recalled the success that Taylor and Joe had after the release of the albums, which won them a Grammy for “Album of the Year” in 2021. “He made a lot of money from the six songs he wrote for Taylor in the past, and he’s grateful that their relationship also helped make him a household name.”he declared to the vehicle.

Prohibited subject

Just like his ex-girlfriend, Joe Alwyn is also taking the next steps in his career. The actor is part of the cast of director Yorgos Lanthimos’ new film, “Kinds of Kindness”, in which he stars alongside Oscar winner Emma Stone as his love interest. However, amid the interviews and publicity for the film, he left one condition for professionals in the field: not to mention Taylor Swift’s name.

“He has a movie coming up and he’s focused on it. He will give interviews, but will not answer questions about Taylor Swift. Joe moved on. He doesn’t hold any grudges, because he knows that’s her job.”assured the source.

Previously, Alwyn had already refused to speak publicly about his relationship with the singer. “People on the street wouldn’t tell details of their lives to strangers on the street. Why would I do that?”, he analyzed before its end, last year. In 2022, the star told Harper’s Bazaar that he “can understand” their interest in dating because they are public figures, but didn’t understand “why these questions must always be answered.”

Termination

Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn had been together since 2016 and announced their breakup in April last year. For People magazine, sources close to the ex-couple revealed the reasons for the end of the relationship: the blonde’s difficulty in dealing with the singer’s fame, and the “differences in their personalities”. The artist is currently in a relationship with American football player Travis Kelce.
