Ricardo Ayres allocated R$46.6 million for investments in health in Tocantins

Federal deputy Ricardo Ayres (Republicanos-TO) announced that, since the beginning of his term, he has allocated a total of R$46.6 million for investments in the health sector in Tocantins. The resources were sent to 116 municipalities and the State Government, covering several initiatives to strengthen the Unified Health System – SUS.

Actions include healthcare costs, the purchase of medical and hospital equipment, the modernization of healthcare units, the acquisition of ambulances for emergency transport and the implementation of the eMult program. The latter has taken care teams of specialist doctors to 88 municipalities, expanding access to specialized health services in more remote areas.

According to Ayres, the investment aims to improve the conditions of care for the population, providing adequate facilities, modern equipment and qualified medical teams.

“These are fundamental resources that will enable the expansion of health services in our municipalities, guaranteeing quality care for citizens”, highlighted the deputy. He also emphasized the commitment to continue serving municipalities in this area, ensuring that these resources will be applied in a transparent and efficient manner, aiming to meet the priority needs of each region.

Actions in cities
Some municipalities have already bid and received the benefits of Deputy Ricardo’s recommendations, as is the case of Dianópolis, which acquired 55 new hospital beds for the Regional Hospital (HRD), in addition to renewing all the furniture with dressing carts, scales, cabinets, chairs for companions, air conditioning, hospital cot, gynecological table, etc. In Gurupi, a new digital x-ray will arrive soon to support medical diagnoses. Paraíso do Tocantins, Augustinópolis and Arraias will also have all hospital furniture replaced with Ayres’ recommendation.
