Teatro Amazonas receives lighting with the colors of the flag of Rio Grande do Sul

Government of Amazonas expresses solidarity with victims of the natural disaster in the state of Rio Grande do Sul

The Amazonas Theater was illuminated with the colors of the flag of Rio Grande do Sul, this Wednesday (08/05) in solidarity with the victims of the floods that have been occurring in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.

The colors green, red and yellow were reflected in the building that represents the main cultural and architectural symbol of Amazonas, managed by the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy and remained lit until Friday (10/05).

Other actions
The Government of Amazonas announced, on Tuesday (07/05) the sending of 30 thousand glasses of treated water, produced by the Amazonas Sanitation Company (Cosama), to assist in humanitarian aid actions. The items will be taken to Rio Grande do Sul, through the Brazilian Air Force (FAB).

In addition, the governor made available 15 health professionals from the Amazonas Military Fire Department, including doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, veterinarians and two specialists in major natural disasters from the Civil Defense. Professionals are available to be sent to the state at any time, as requested by the Rio Grande do Sul government.
