One of the most special dates is approaching, and with it comes shopping for gifts, which is a gesture of love and affection. And to help the consumer when buying a gift for Mother’s Day, which is celebrated next Sunday, the 12th, Procon Tocantins carried out a survey this Tuesday, the 7th, in nine commercial establishments in Palmas.
61 products were researched, such as sneakers, flat sandals, pants, dresses, smart TVs, smartphones, notebooks, bags, hairdryers, perfumes, flowers, among others.
The biggest variation found during the Procon Tocantins survey was 179.86%, in the dress. The lowest price found was R$49.99 and the highest was R$139.90.
In second place was the flat sandal, with a variation of 167.22%, sold between R$29.90 and R$79.90. And in third place was the skirt, with a variation of 148.28% and prices between R$49.90 and R$119.90.

The director of inspection at Procon Tocantins, Magno Silva, highlights that “The prices reported refer to those found on the day of the survey and are subject to change by the establishments, as in this period approaching Mother’s Day, special conditions offered by the establishments may arise. such as discounts and promotions”, he emphasizes.

Regarding internet purchases, it is important to highlight that regardless of anything, the consumer can regret the purchase within seven days of receiving the product, as established in art. 49 of the Consumer Protection Code (CDC);
“It is essential that the consumer demands the invoice, it is the guarantee that the consumer has of the legality of the purchase. Furthermore, with the note it is possible to exchange or return what was purchased, as well as open a complaint or register a complaint with Procon Tocantins, if a problem occurs” explains the superintendent of Procon Tocantins, Rafael Pereira Parente.
