Simone Santana receives recognition for investing in the Pernambuco Cancer Hospital

With almost R$1 million in parliamentary amendments allocated to the Pernambuco Cancer Hospital (HCP), deputy Simone Santana received, this Wednesday (08), a commemorative plaque offered by the health unit. HCP’s general superintendent, Sidney Neves, and the institution’s agreements and projects manager, Patrícia Menezes, went to the deputy’s office to pay tribute and thank her for the years of partnership with the mandate.

“The deputy’s amendments help us a lot with costs and equipment. The Cancer hospital serves more than half of the state’s population and needs this support. The delivery of the plaque is a symbolic way of saying thank you for this very important gesture that helps us so much”, stated the hospital superintendent.

Simone reinforced her commitment to oncology patients in Pernambuco and guaranteed that she will continue her work as a defender of public health. “As a doctor, I really believe in the strength of the SUS. The HCP does a very serious job of welcoming and treating people with cancer. We have to come together and value the best we have”, declared the deputy.
