Amazonas Military Police arrest person involved in robbery of public transport bus

The Amazonas Military Police (PMAM), through the 14th Community Interactive Company (Cicom), arrested a 40-year-old man for involvement in the robbery of a public transport bus, this Tuesday morning (05/07), in Tancredo Neves neighborhood, east of Manaus.

The police team was patrolling around 7:30 am, on Avenida Autaz Mirim, when they were informed by passengers that they had detained a man who stole a cell phone from one of the passengers. The victim reported that he felt the suspect pull the object and, when trying to retrieve it, the man pulled out scissors, at which time he was immobilized by members of the public.

Two cell phones and scissors were seized. The man and the victim were taken to the 14th Integrated Police District (DIP).

Complaint

The Amazonas Military Police advises the population to report immediately upon becoming aware of any criminal action, via hotline 181 or 190. The identity of the complainant will be kept confidential.
