— We contacted the management of Ceasa do Rio Grande do Sul and made ourselves available to assist in supplying the neighboring state. Buyers are already coming and the guarantee is that there will be no shortage of food (…). In this difficult time for everyone, we are going to make it as easy as possible for you to come to Santa Catarina — highlighted the director of Ceasa/SC.

In Rio Grande do Sul, the Department of Rural Development will invest around R$300,000 to create a temporary Ceasa structure in the city of Gravataí, in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre. Meanwhile, Ceasa de Santa Catarina will be one of the alternatives for buyers in Rio Grande do Sul. This Tuesday (7), at least 10 trucks coming from the south supplied fuel at the São José unit.

As an alternative, Ceasa from Santa Catarina began purchasing products from suppliers in Rio Grande do Sul. With the floods in Rio Grande do Sul, both states were left lacking. The option, according to director Emerson Martins, will be to buy vegetables from Rio de Janeiro, the quality of which is lower.

— This, of course, ends up having an impact on consumers, but we believe that in a few days things will start to normalize. The other products, which were not impacted, will continue at normal prices — said the director of Ceasa this Tuesday morning.
