State totals 331,804 confirmed cases and 239 deaths.

O report card carried out by Sesa (Secretary of State for Health) further confirmed 38,468 cases It is 26 deaths caused by dengue in Paraná.

Since this epidemiological period began, in July 2023, 331,804 confirmed cases and 239 deaths have been recorded. In addition, there are 628,378 notifications and 111,601 cases under investigation.

The 26 deaths occurred between March 3 and April 28, 10 men and 16 women aged between 14 and 93 years. 17 of the fatal dengue victims had comorbidities. They were residents of 17 municipalities:

  • Piraquara, Saudade do Iguaçu, Dois Vizinhos, Francisco Beltrão, Marmeleiro, Nova Esperança do Sudoeste, Planalto, Santa Izabel do Oeste, Boa Vista da Aparecida, Cascavel, Lindoeste, Nova Aurora, Três Barras do Paraná, Ivaté, Amaporã, Sabaudia, Cornélio Procopius.

The cities with the most cases are London (22,369), Rattlesnake (21,063), Apucarana (17,146), Maringá (16,719) and Francisco Beltrão (12,236).

The list of cities with the most deaths includes Londrina (23), Cascavel (23), Toledo (17), Apucarana (14) and Cornélio Procópio (11).

PARANÁ HAS DENGUE INFESTATION

Of the 399 municipalities in Paraná, only one has no confirmed cases.

Sesa also released the new building infestation bulletin, which presents the entomological survey for Aedes aegypti. According to the data, the Paraná has 376 infested municipalities, which represents 94.23% of the State.

ZIKA AND CHIKUNGUNYA

The bulletin included a new case of chikungunya, totaling 127 confirmed cases and 1,465 notifications of the disease in the State.

Furthermore, since the beginning of this period, there have been no confirmed cases of Zika virus.
