Acre participates in national meeting on innovation and entrepreneurship in professional and technological education

Deepen knowledge to transmit to students and reinforce the contribution to the economic, social and sustainable development of Acre. This is how the director of Education at the Institute of Professional and Technological Education of Acre (Ieptec), Mara Lima, defined the participation of the institution’s team in the 2nd National Meeting of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Professional and Technological Education (InovEPT), which began this Tuesday- fair, 7th, in Brasília.

The meeting, which continues until Thursday, 9th, is promoted by the Ministry of Education and aims to debate guidelines for the creation of an innovation ecosystem in professional and technological education, in addition to challenges, methods and practices related to innovation and entrepreneurship in the area. To this end, it brings together managers, leaders and researchers from various states in the country.

From Ieptec, representatives of the professional and technological education centers (Cepts). “It is the schools that make the actions happen at the end”, recalled Mara, highlighting the importance of the participation of these managers in the meeting and its positive impacts for the state.

“It’s encouraging them to start entrepreneurship, both in terms of creating businesses and in life, so that they know how to position themselves, wherever they go, whether in their professional or personal lives,” he said. This encouragement and learning, stated the director, is also reflected in gains for the state, “with economic, social and sustainable development, because sustainability is also an extremely necessary topic”, she recalled.

The encouragement of technological entrepreneurship in technical training schools was highlighted at the opening of the event, this Tuesday, by several participants. Among them, the Secretary of Science and Technology for Social Development, of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Inácio Arruda, who defended a special focus on technology-based companies, such as startups.

“We want science, knowledge and the training offered to create thousands and thousands of technology-based companies to respond to everything we need”, he said, exemplifying opportunities such as the creation of equipment and medicines.

The Secretary of Professional and Technological Education of the Ministry of Education, Marcelo Bregagnoli, encouraged participants to present practical proposals for the country, especially in the environmental area.

“We will have the biggest climate change event next year in Brazil, which will host COP30”, he recalled, encouraging proposals in the area, covering research, development, innovation and entrepreneurship actions for society.

Opportunity

Cepts representatives present at the meeting also highlighted the importance of absorbing and passing on new knowledge to students.

“Today, for example, we are working on theater, music, cinema, radio, television, visual arts and greatly accessing teaching and learning strategies based on technology. And we want to see what’s new covering innovation, entrepreneurship and technology in this area, to take to Acre”, said Simone Pessoa, coordinator of Cept Usina de Arte, a school in the area of ​​culture and arts in Rio Branco.

The general coordinator of Cept Campos Pereira, Susie Lamas, especially highlighted the exchange of experiences: “It is important, so that we can encourage the entrepreneurship of our students with a technological perspective, so that we can respond more quickly to the needs of society”. And Adem Nagib, coordinator of the learning area at Escola Maria Moreira da Rocha, highlighted the opportunity to “enhance the development of students’ skills, especially in the area of ​​entrepreneurship”.

Also participating in the meeting are Ricardo Veras, general coordinator of Cept Roberval Cardoso; Aires Pergentino, Technical Area coordinator at Campos Pereira School; Marineide Diógenes, general coordinator of the Miriam Assis Felício School of Gastronomy and Hospitality; and Weyder Oliveira, head of the Pedagogical and Curricular Department at Ieptec.

The debates at the meeting focus on three axes: technological initiation; research, development and innovation; and technology-based entrepreneurship.
